Eagle Was Tragically Shot in The Face, 3D Printing Saved Her Life
Considered one of the most beautiful creatures of Northern Idaho, U.S, this Bald Eagle known as ‘Beauty’ was stripped of her pride and almost her life when she was shot in the face (what absolute twat does this kind of thing?)
The shot in the beak meant Beauty could no longer function properly and in order to survive, technology and less-twatty humans stepped in to save her life. In steps the 3-D printer to perform another piece of magic, it may have taken 18 months but the results are so worthwhile. Check out the full video below.
This isn’t the first time a 3-D printer has been used to do something marvellous, like the time it allowed a blind woman to see her baby for the first time or the time the tortoise was built a new shell…an undeniably brilliant invention.
