Chinese Animal Lover Says His Cat Gave Birth To A Dog

You don’t have to be an expert to know that cats have kittens and dogs have puppies. That’s just the way it is, or is it? A 74-year-old Chinese man watched his cat give birth to five babies, but it wasn’t until later that day he noticed one of them looked a little different. The pensioner Jia Weinuan claims the first-born is in fact a Chihuahua, and not a cat.

It does resemble a dog quite a bit, but could someone please explain how that is possible?

Jia says there are no male dogs in the area, ruling out interbreeding. He also defends his cat’s honour saying that she is a ‘good cat’ and wouldn’t ‘do bad things without us knowing’.

The cat owner says the only thing the puppy has in common with the rest or the litter is its paws. He insists he cut the umbilical cords and says there is no explanation to the bizarre birth.

Is this a weird looking cat, a dog or something in between? If it’s somehow dog, was it birthed by the four-year-old cat or did Jia forget where the puppy came from? The Chinese man says ‘it’s a puzzle to him’, as well as everyone else I’m guessing, and hopes that a scientist somewhere will help solve the mystery. Are you as confused as this 8-week-old kitten?
