Mathematicians Claim To Have Discovered The Thumbprint Of God

It is only a theory, but it’s a very interesting one.

Over recent times some prominent mathematicians have claimed to have discovered a connection between a mathematical sequence and the structure of our universe. They now believe that it is possible to express nature’s laws in a complex geometric image. Mathematics are calling this pattern the Mandelbrot set, discovered by Benedict Mandelbrot. It depicts an ‘eternally existing self-reproducing chaotic and inflationary universe.’ The pattern, which relies upon the latest technology to be seen in full detail, is infinite. The naked eye will see bolts of lightning, but these are in fact a series of repeating Mandelbrot sets that spiral out infinitely. Zoom into any point and it will be made up of smaller, infinitely more complex versions of the same trippy pattern.
This video does exactly that. Now imagine if this video went on forever and ever, and ever.

Mandelbrot has done all of this using fractal geometry. Fractal is defined as: “A repeating geometric pattern: an irregular or fragmented geometric shape that can be repeatedly subdivided into parts, each of which is a smaller copy of the whole. Fractals are used in computer modeling of natural structures that do not have simple geometric shapes, such as clouds, mountainous landscapes, and coastlines.” Mandelbrot essentially used all of this to show that infinity is real. Mathematicians are still calculating the Mandelbrot set, and have been since the 1970′s. It was instrumental in the development of modern computer graphics. If the set really is infinite then they could be mapping it forever.
So, if this theory is true, could the universe be one giant Mandelbrot set?
