36-year-old Norway native Lars Jrun Langien is our new hero. Why, you ask? Take a look at what this brave Scandinavian badass just did.

Lars was out for a stroll when he spotted a duck trapped under the ice on the surface of a frozen lake.

Lars didnt hesitate: He jumped into the lake, shattering the ice.

Did we mention the lake was frozen?

The bearded Norwegian dried the poor animal and kept it warm.

The duck was quite shaken, but thankfully alive.
