Like something straight out of Ocean’s Eleven, the pictures released by the Metropolitan Police of London’s 200 million jewellery heist are almost hard to believe.

The robbers started the heist by disabling the elevator on the second floor in order to climb down the shaft to the vault which is ‘safely’ tucked away in the basement.

Their job didn’t stop there. The next task was to find a way through the metal security door to the basement, which they clearly made mince meat of.

So far so good for the robbers but it seems the vault door was too difficult for them to crack and we can see why, it looks like a beast.

After coming so far, there’s no way they were going to let a little vault door stop them on their road to riches, so they took to drilling a hole in the 20-inch thick concrete instead.

What looks like a glorified peephole was enough to allow the robbers access to the safety deposit boxes.

At only 18 inches wide and 10 inches high, we can assume the robbers will not be splurging their cash on burgers since they must’ve been pretty trim.

They walked away with the contents of about 70 deposit boxes worth of cash and didn’t even close the door on their way out.
