Mothers can be defensive of their children. Overprotective even. I wasn’t allowed to ride my bike without a helmet until… well, I just wasn’t allowed to ride my bike without a helmet. But when it comes to parenting, it’s only natural that you want to protect your offspring.

Only in the animal world however, would you see such an incredible display or athleticism, acrobatics and bravery in one brief scenario. This mama rabbit literally slaps the shit out of this snake for trying to eat her young. And to be honest, I don’t blame her.

This snake clearly got its arse handed to it. (Wherever it is.) But it’s good to know that the mama rabbit came out on top.
