It’s not that tattoos don’t look good on men, of course they do. But lets be honest, gorgeous ladies look even more stunning with a little bit of tasteful ink. I’ll start by making it very clear that I find tattoos on women very sexy. They make already attractive girls look even hotter and add a real air of mystique to a woman. Outwardly they dazzle the eyes and pull you in, but they also give you an important insight into the girl you are dealing with.

What I’m not saying however is that girls with tattoos are easy. That’s a common and misplaced stereotype, plus it’s well documented that those kind of assertions don’t sit well with the women in question. It’s the eye catching appeal of tattoos and what they say about a woman that interests most men.

Women with tattoos are not afraid to be individual and stand out. Not content to be just another generic girl in a Topshop ensemble, they showcase their personality via a show of artistic expression. I’m not saying that she needs to have a sleeve, or cover herself drastically like Cheryl Cole – but it’s a clear sign of a person who isn’t fussed what other people think. If she likes something, then she’ll do it. This refreshing ambition to be different is such an underrated quality, and one that automatically entices lots of men.

For males on the other hand, tattoos are not anywhere near as special or emblematic. Men have been getting tattoos since way back when, and there is far less stigma attached to them. Women court more controversy as a result of their body ink.

Tattoos on ladies show a certain amount of self-confidence. There are lots of negative stereotypes and comments that tattooed girls have to put up with, so you know that they have the personality to deal with a little senseless flak.

We all know that tattoos hurt. You’re being inked with a needle for hours, of course it is going to hurt. Girls with tattoos have shown that they aren’t afraid of a little discomfort. Knowing that something worthwhile takes some pain is a sign of maturity and foresight, again showing the sort of girl you’re dealing with.

As a man, you might be dating the nicest girl on the planet, but if she has a tattoo you can be sure that she has an edge to her personality. Everyone looks for someone with a bit of bite, without any you can find yourself pretty bored. Tattoos are an indicator that a woman has a playful, interesting, intriguing side to her personality. Always an appealing quality.

Tattoos on men are nothing out of the ordinary. I can appreciate the fact that David Beckham looks good, but with a woman it’s a different ball game. They naturally stick out on the street, they automatically catch your eye in bars, they have that added factor that makes them more appealing.
