Orangutan’s Reaction To This Magic Trick Is The Absolute Greatest

Magic, you either love it or hate it. When I was growing up magic was always put in the ‘losers’ bracket. But then David Blaine went in that box and Dynamo strolled into town and people’s perceptions began to change. And it turns out that it’s not just humans who are fascinated by wizardry, orangutans are too. In the past the animals have been known to react to things from behind the glass in their enclosures. Who could forget ? But this particular furry creature is possibly the first of its kind to react to a magic trick. The little one rolls around in hysterics after a zoo-goer places a chestnut into a Styrofoam cup and carries out the oldest trick in the book on them. Warning: approach this video with caution, cuteness overload imminent.   And that is how you go from unimpressed to complete hysterics in 30 seconds. Look at his face. Who knew you could have so much fun with just a cup and a chestnut? Not me. Although I’m still unsure of whether the orangutan erupted into a fit of giggles because he was impressed by the trick or he was just laughing at the man’s sweater, purple was so last year. I suppose we’ll never know, until they start talking…
