Mother Shames Daughter For Lying About Her Age And Posing In A Bra
We all lie about our age from time to time, but most of us get away with it (most of the time at least). Some of us might even have lied about our age on social media, but we all know nothing good come out of it. A Denver-area mum posted a video of her calling out her 13-year-old daughter for posing as a 19-year-old on Facebook, and it quickly went viral.
Val Starks said decided to make a video forcing her daughter to explain herself after finding out her daughter was posting pictures in her underwear, calling herself a freak and was Facebook friends with grown men.
“Don’t cry now. You wasn’t crying when you was posting pictures on Facebook, was you? In a bra? Some little girl in some lace panties that you know you don’t own. You still wear panties that say Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,” she tells her daughter.
The video has been viewed almost 13 million times since it was posted on Sunday and has divided thousands of parents on social media.
Most comments on the video have praised the mother for how she handled the situation and said she was in the right to post the video
But some have criticised her for shaming and embarrassing her daughter so publicly
Starks said she hopes all parents follow her example and pay attention to what their children are doing online. She posted a video on Monday expressing how overwhelmed she was by the support she has received and she has gotten thousands of friend requests since the video was posted.
What do you think about this? Do you agree that she was in the right or do you think it was too much to post it online for the whole world to see?
