88 Year Old WW2 Veteran Sees Off Two Knife Wielding Youths In Botched Robbery

Whatever happened to showing respect to your elders? An 88-year-old WW2 veteran has had to defend his home from two knife wielding burglars this week. Kenneth Brown from Kent, UK, who is 5ft 4in, punched one of the assailants in the chest which forced the pair to think twice about their robbery attempt.

The two cowardly 19-year-olds fled the scene and got into a parked car, but thankfully a neighbour of Mr. Brown noted down the registration – which led to the two men being apprehended. Speaking about the event, Mr. Brown said that his army training kicked in when he saw one of the youths carrying a knife. He also revealed that he could have done a lot more damage, but was fearful of getting into trouble with the police.

See what Kenneth had to say about the incident in his own words…

Kenneth Brown served in the Somerset Light Infantry in Asia and India during the last months of the Second World War and was highly trained in unarmed combat. Thankfully for him, he had the quick wits and skills to see off his attackers. Another pensioner might not have been so lucky… This isn’t the only story about an elderly man having to defend himself, as an ex-boxer in Spain battered two drunk louts threatening to rob him. What has the world come to?!
