A list of surprising goods and services for sale on the Deep Web. Also called the Dark Web, the Deep Web is huge part of the internet that standard search engines can’t find, like the giant mass under the tip of an iceberg. Originally developed by the US government for classified information exchange, the darknet has become an unregulated marketplace where anyone can buy just about anything as long as they download the right software and have bitcoins to spare.
What’s on the Dark Web? A lot of it is simply archival or inaccessible corporate intranets. But it’s also got a lot of other stuff – anything and everything “The Man” doesn’t want you to have. Drugs, guns, hardcore pornography, hideously unspeakable videos (seriously, don’t watch any video on the Deep Web), hacked credit cards, industrial equipment, and random weird stuff all compete for space and bitcoins in this giant online bazaar. A Deep Web site called “Fake Documents Service” claims to sell stolen passwords and documentation from virtually every nation, including US passports for a little less than a thousand dollars. Of course, fake papers are a staple of the clean web, too, so the subterfuge might not be necessary.
“How to buy weed on the Deep Web” brings up nearly a million hits on Google. Seemingly every strain and potency of marijuana can be found on the Deep Web with very little effort.
Apparently, a Dark Web site called Black Ban offers the services of an attractive woman who will “write on her boobs anything (sic)” for the low, low price 20 bucks!
