Generally, we’re raised with parental standards and expectations shaping a lot of our decisions. At a younger age, we follow their rules more out of fear of stepping out and losing privileges but as we grow up it’s more about making them proud.

There’s not a lot worse than feeling like you’ve ‘disappointed’ your parents. Or so I thought…these 14 people have clearly said ‘sod that’ and the results make me thankful I still worry what Mum thinks before making stupid decisions.
