14 Of The Worst Police Sketches Of All Time, Prepare To Face Palm
Thanks to new facial recognition software and the development of technology, catching criminals and producing decent photo fits is easier than ever. However there was a darker time when an art-school drop out used to sketch criminal’s faces from very shaky descriptions given to them by suspect witnesses. Sounds like a good system right?
As you’d expect, some of the resultant drawings were pretty diabolical.
Here are 14 of the worst police sketches of all time… Seriously, who thought they’d ever catch a crook with these?
1. Jesus, Super Mario is looking rough these days
2. E.T. phone home…
3. I hope he wears that scarf all the time or the police are in trouble
4. Apparently police caught the man on the right after producing the sketch on the left. Clearly this shrimp boat captain was high on crystal meth and confessed!
5. He doesn’t look very worried for a man being hunted for battery
6. Unless all car thieves sport this outdated curtains look, they’ll catch him in no time
7. I’ve seen better drawings in my sister’s nursery class
8. Wanted on suspicion of wearing roadkill like a hat
9. If I look to the side then nobody will know it’s me
10. Has anyone ever seen the original Planet of the Apes movie?
11. Absolutely chilling. The crook with no face
12. Surely this is the most redundant police sketch ever?!
13. As you can see, the likeness is uncanny
14. Since when was it ok to use Wii avatars to catch criminals? For shame Japan
I honestly can’t believe that any of these awful police sketches ever resulted in an arrest, but what do I know? Clearly the public have a better eye for these shabby drawings than I do. Personally I think the artist who drew #11 needs an award for conjuring up the most chilling image ever. Someone call Hollywood and get a film made, it’d scare the absolute s*** out of people. Looking at these pictures, you may be losing some respect for the police, and I don’t blame you. However in Pakistan, police arrested a pigeon on suspicion of spying – now that trumps any dodgy sketch every day of the week!
