Moscow | The Russian Federal Space Agency (RFSA) is set to release this week classified documents that attest the US Moon landings never occurred, reports the RIA Novosti this morning.

The controversial statement by RFSA General Director, Igor Komarov, is intended to shed light on the American Space Program
“that has led the world into a web of deception”

according to the former KGB colonel who is about to launch Russia’s new Lunar Program.

“As the Russian nation is about to embark on the adventure to be the first nation ever to set foot on the Moon, the world must know that this has never been done before, that this will not be done in a Hollywood movie set as America has been trying to hide for the past 40 years”

he explained yesterday during an interview with RIA Novosti.

Igor Komarov, an ex-KGB colonel now Head of the Russian Federal Space Agency, claims misconceptions constructed for decades by the “deceitful American Space Program” must be shattered for real science to overcome popular concepts of what he believes is a “web of lies”

“The Russian Lunar Space Program will be the first attempt in human history to truly attempt to land a man on the Moon”

he explained.
“It has always been known since the 1960?s in higher ranking levels of the KGB that the Moon landings never occurred, as it was also known at the time that the voyage of Yuri Gagarin was also faked by our own government at the time. This is how governments proceeded at the time, there is nothing to be ashamed of, the technical capabilities were not present at the time”

he conceded during the interview.

Contrary to popular belief, there was no competition on the part of the Russians to beat the Americans to the Moon in the 1960?s, as top Russian officials were well aware that the feat was not possible with the technological means of the time, claims the RFSA General Director who hopes to land the first manned mission on the Moon before 2020.

According to NASA, the 1972 Apollo 17 mission remains the most recent manned Moon landing and also the last time humans have travelled beyond low Earth orbit.
