This Police Officer’s Act Of Kindness Is Going Viral

A Bridgeport police officer is making headlines worldwide after he was caught on camera stopping to help a young child fix his bike whilst on duty.

Cody Remy was on patrol in Trumbull Gardens on April 11th when he noticed the child struggling to fix his bike, so pulled over to lend a helping hand. Unbeknown to Cody, a local resident decided to capture the act of kindness and sent it out to local media outlets.

Bill Flinch, Bridgeport’s mayor has since applauded the officer for helping out the child within the community.

“Officer Remy’s act of helping out a child in need in our community is a great example. He doesn’t think he did anything extraordinary. But I disagree. The picture speaks for itself. And, I’ll leave it up to others in our community and beyond to decide for themselves.”

“Bridgeport police officers help protect our community day in and day out,” he said. “They help make our neighbourhood safer and more secure for kids and families, ensuring our city continues getting better every day,” the mayor added.
