Mass Hate Crime Shooting In Charleston SC Church Leaves 8 Dead. Link Beef Reports.

Police are responding to a shooting on Calhoun Street at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

The tragedy has left an estimated 8 dead and possibly more injured. The shooter was a white male with a slender small build wearing a grey sweat shirt blue jeans timberland boots and a clean shave.

There is a man in custody now but has not been positively identified as the shooter.

Update 06/18/15 11:00pm EST: Man in custody was a local photographer wearing unfortunate clothing for the night and refused to clear the area. More to come.

Update 06/18/15 11:10pm: Police scanner: person claiming to be suspect in charleston shooting called dispatch and claims there is an explosive device. Source is unconfirmed.
